Louise & Kitt Wedding

August 27, 2010

This is my 2nd attempts in shooting a complete wedding ceremony. I really appreciate Louise & Kitt to put their trusts on me for such important day. This is the first time I become the primary photographer for the day. I am still a little worry that I might mess up some of the important shots. Luckily William is willing to back me up. He is very experienced & most importantly I can learn from him, especially on how to coordinate the bride & groom for some of the shooting, which I am not really good at.  The skill to make the couple feel comfortable & natural in front of the cameras is so important.

I have to apologize for taking such a long time (3 months) to completely finish processing all the photos. I was constantly packed with my 3d Visual works for the last few months & actually just came back from my 2 weeks Europe Trip. Finally I get a few days of spare time to complete them. For this round of photos, I tried to experiment more on the colour & other effects that I have not done before. I used to prefer to keep my editing to minimal and are rather conventional. In order for me to catch up with the expectation of many people, I have to start playing with more editing such as hyper-real portrait editing, vintage or lomo effect (this is like a trend these days) or even completely tweaking the colours. The result I find is quite refreshing, making the photos more polished & fill with mood . The downside is that, my editing has become of too variety that the series of photos do not come out consistent… I guess I really have to work on an overall theme & mood for each package before I start editing next time.

I hope to have even more wedding shooting in the future & continue to improve after every job. My next assignment will be my bestest friend’s wedding back in Hometown on 10/10/2010! Congrates! Another exciting shooting to look forward. I will definitely give my best!

the whole page very nicely fit on screen when view on Mac, different from few months back when i viewed with my acer monitor.
The bride is beautiful! tall & nice fingers..
The 5th photo (bride looking into mirror) color is nice, sharp and can see the makeup in detail
If there’s a choice will suggest u forgo the window shoot, coz the curtain is too…-_-
